Happy New Year!
We had a very quick week back at school! The children and I were all happy to be back together. We were very lucky to have great weather for ECO on Friday! Students learned about how the snowshoe hare adapts in the winter and then worked on making "Rabbitates" (rabbit habitats). We roasted hotdogs over the fire, did snow painting, played in the snow kitchen, looked for animal tracks, and enjoyed tree tea, created a wish tree with our wishes for the forest, and left gifts for forest friends.
Here are a few photos: first, decorating gingerbread cookies on the Friday before vacation; then, highlights from ECO.
