June 9

I'd like to take this opportunity to  tell you what a pleasure and honor it has been to teach your children.  Each day your children brought such joy to my day.  I am so proud of the growth each student has made, from reading, writing, and math; to social interaction, empathy, and understanding; to  perseverance and growth mindset.  We have truly become a community of learners with the courage to grow!  It is bittersweet time of year for me, as I know I will be saying so-long, but never goodbye.  Students are always in my heart and I LOVE to see my former students around school.

Thanks you from the bottom of my heart for your support this year and for your partnership in educating your children.  I truly believe it is a team effort and it takes a village to raise our kids.  I feel honored to have played a part in this process.

It was with great excitement that kindergarten students met the first grade teachers this week with Elmore students traveling to Elmore School on Monday morning and MES  first grade teachers visiting our classrooms on Wednesday followed by touring their classrooms on Thursday.  Students will find out their class placement over the summer (early August).

Final Mastery Reports should arrive by mail sometime around the beginning of July.  If you find you have any questions about your child's grades, please seek me out by either sending me an email  (diane.nicholls@lssuvt.org) or call the school and leave a message.  I will be around this summer and will check my mailbox for messages.

I hope to see you all at our final Kindergarten Celebration on Tuesday at 1:30 in the art room.
