Week 7

In literacy we learned about the letters c and o, and learned the new sight word, the.  During writers workshop students have been writing books to teach others about a topic.  This week students worked on adding words by stretching out the sounds (like a rubberband) to hear the sound in the word, and adding details to our pictures and writing.

In math students learned about the numbers 6 and 7.  We worked a lot on counting strategies and recognizing the quantify of 6 and 7.

On Friday we had a wonderful day filled will a field trip to the Morristown Fire Station to learn about Fire Safety. Student also enjoyed time at the Graded Building Playground.
