Dear Kindergarten Families,

What fabulous weather we are having this week!  It seems that spring has finally arrived.  And with that, I know that you and your children will want to be getting outside more.  Please take advantage of the beautiful sunshine and get out and enjoy it.

We have just a couple more weeks of school left.  The last official day of school is June 11th,  however Kindergarten students will be ending on June 8th, as we will be conducting our Kindergarten Registration and class placement for incoming students on June 9th -11th.

In the next couple of weeks you will be notified about the procedure for returning school supplies to MES.  Students may keep the dice, crayons, markers, and games that were sent home.  What we will need back are:

  • all books (library and classroom)
  • book boxes
  • iPads (some exceptions may occur.  More information to come)
As summer approaches, we encourage you to put aside technology.  Spend time reading with your children and play games together.  Card games, dice, games, and word games are great ways to foster the love of learning and keep skills fresh.  We know that remote schooling as exhausted many of you.  You have risen to the occasion and supported your child(ren) on so many levels.  My hope is that over the summer, take some time to enjoy each other, have fun together, and make new discoveries!  I will be sending home some suggestions for fun ways to engage your children over the summer, but overall, what I hope most is that you enjoy spending time together without all the pressures of school!

As always, please let me know how I may be of support to you or your child.

Please send pictures of your students' remote learning experiences!
Reminder...No school on Monday.

Have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!

With gratitude,
Diane Nicholls
