May 29, 2020

Summer seems to have arrived!  The heat this week sure does it make it hard to focus on school!  Next week looks like it will be a little cooler, AND it will be our last week of school!  Can you believe it?  I'm sure this comes with many mixed feelings for all.  Ending the year with remote learning has brought many challenges, however your children have proven they can be flexible and have adapted to remote learning better than I ever would have thought possible.  You have all taken on a huge roll in your child's education, and I can't thank you enough for that.

The end of the school year is always a bitter-sweet time, but this year is especially so.  I miss seeing their faces in person everyday.  I miss seeing them all together in the same room, playing together, and learning together.  I've packed up my classroom and moved out my personal items as I prepare to move into the Elmore School next year.  It will be strange to not have closure with the students in our classroom together, but we are excited for our Car Parade Celebration on June 8th!  I hope you can all make it.  The parade should not take more than 30 minutes (including the line up and procession).

Last call for student photos from the past two months to be included in my slide show presentation.
